The Moana beach located on Matira Point was one of the very first hotels on the island of Bora-Bora to develop overwater bungalows with a very Polynesian decoration. It included 41 overwater bungalows and 10 beach bungalows.
The basic project consisted of a renovation of all the existing bungalows and an extension of 13 additional bungalows (9 overwater and 4 on the beach) including 2 suites.
The interior architecture of the bungalow has been completely revisited as much in layout, wall coverings and floors, as in furniture and decoration while retaining the basic identity. The decoration work was carried out in continuation of the initial concepts.
The openings on the outside have been redesigned to improve the lighting (installation of naco for the living room part, woven wooden shutters for the bedroom part and opal glazing for the bathroom).
Being the owner's wish having a resort much more comfortable and up-to-day. A complete reorganization of the "bathroom" space was made to integrate a shower in addition to the existing bathtub. Thus, the outdoor deck has been extended and refitted.
The next program was to renovate the common areas with the extension of the restaurant and the reorganization of the bar.
Subsequently, we carried out a fare activities, a shop, the extension of the kitchens and offices, and the renovation of the reception.
The construction work has been carried out in several phases considering the continuous exploitation during construction.
