This hotel is the latest Pearl Beach hotel built, it is located on the motu Tautau in TAHAA and opened in July 2002.
The site is exceptional, white sandbank as far as the eye can see, a natural pass ("Hoa in Tahitian") along the islet of a rare underwater wealth and some views of the hotel are oriented on the Bora Bora Island.
The goal for this luxury hotel was to compose with and around the existing vegetation. Thus, the main building is built around a preserved tree in a central patio in which a staircase wraps, built in Aito wood.
The set is nestled in the heart of vegetation as a stranded ship. The access to the upper floor offers an exceptional view from the canopy to the lagoon. Some tree platforms accentuate the feeling of floating above a vegetable sea.
The bungalows were built in precious wood, two wood species have been associated, one clear in floor and wall, the other one, darker, for the furniture. The developed theme is the boat and the wave both in the Polynesian tradition and in a most current design.
The carpentry is particularly elaborate, embellished with Polynesian links and details, including the structure of the reception which takes the form of a traditional canoe warehouse.
